Before commencing studies with us, all students are to confirm their acceptance of our Code of Conduct by signing a copy at their interview stage.
Based on a simple ethos of showing respect for each other and our professional surrounds, the 24 points are :
1. All books, notes, work-kit, etc, must be brought to every class.
2. Uniform - consisting of a white nurse’s uniform dress, natural tone tights, white shoes and navy cardigan - must be worn to every class.
3. Appropriate footwear to be worn.
4. In the interest of hygiene, long hair must be tied up and all nails must be kept short and unvarnished.
5. No jewellery, other than a wristwatch, may be worn to class.
6. Students must provide their own beauty work kit i.e. tweezers, sponges, head bands, etc. These can be purchased at the College.
7. One full set of study notes, creams, towels, etc will be provided by the College where stated, but not work implements. Students must buy these.
8. Study notes remain the property of the College and cannot be loaned, sold or copied.
9. Study notes remain the Copyright of Susan Ryan. All rights reserved. No part of these notes may be reproduced in any form or by any means (inc. photocopying, scanning & email) without the written permission of the copyright owner.
10. It is the responsibility of each student to provide models to practice on from amongst their own family and friends The college is not obliged to do so.
11. Students cannot refuse any treatment unless medically unsuitable and a doctor’s certificate is presented.
12. Personal articles should not be brought to class. The college will not be responsible for any damage or loss for any personal items.
13. You must arrive at least 10 minutes before class is due to start, wearing full uniform and simple day make-up.
14. You may not leave class early for buses etc. You are aware of class times, therefore make suitable travel arrangements.
15. Any classes you miss will be your own responsibility, and it is up to you to catch up in your own time. Lectures will not be duplicated.
16. Lateness will not be tolerated.
17. The fee-payer will be notified of all absences.
18. Failure to achieve the required standard in College examinations may lead to termination of training without refund. This decision is at the discretion of the College principal.
19. Failure to abide by the school regulations may lead to expulsion without refund.
20. Insolence to staff will not be tolerated, and may result in dismissal without refund.
21. Mobile phones, ipads, tablets etc, must be switched off within the college.
23. Students who fail to complete the course for whatever reason cannot be guaranteed to be offered a place in subsequent years.
24. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the course fee is payable on acceptance of a place, following the interview. The balance of the fee is to be paid in full by the FIRST day of the course. No exceptions.
